BBL (Broadbandlight) Therapy: A powerful solution for pigmentation and skin tone issues

At The Bronte Clinic, we offer a carefully curated range of evidence-based skin treatments to address concerns like sun damage, pigmentation, redness and early skin ageing. One of the most advanced tools we use is BroadBand Light (BBL® therapy) — a clinically proven light-based treatment that targets uneven skin tone & pigmentation, improves texture, and restores a more even, radiant complexion

The light energy is absorbed by melanin (pigment) and haemoglobin (redness), helping to reduce:

  • Sun spots and hyperpigmentation
  • Facial redness and broken capillaries
  • Rosacea and flushing
  • Rough skin texture and early signs of ageing

It also stimulates collagen production, improving firmness and reducing the appearance of pores and fine lines over time.

What to Expect from BBL Treatment

Each session is performed by our experienced medical team and takes around 20–30 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Patients typically describe the sensation as warm and mildly tingly.

There is little to no downtime, though mild redness can occur for a few hours. Makeup and sunscreen can be worn immediately afterwards. For optimal results, we usually recommend a series of 3–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
